The £101,268 will be spent on re-displaying the gallery’s Chinese collection between December 2014 and March 2015 in a more accessible and engaging way for visitors.

The Chinese collection consists of more than 110 objects spanning over 3,000 years, dating from the Neolithic period to the Qing Dynasty.

The gallery has six permanent collections and a changing exhibition programme.
