Murder investigation underway after man is stabbed to death

A man has been stabbed to death in Warwick.

Police have confirmed today (Sunday) that a murder investigation is underway.

Paramedics were called to a property in Blackwell Lane, Warwick, at around 11pm yesterday (Saturday May 2). When they arrived they found a man in his 50s suffering from stab injuries. He was taken to University Hospital Coventy and Warwickshire, where he later died.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.

The identity of the victim is known, but formal identification is yet to take place. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
