Man threatened with a knife in Leamington robbery

A man was threatened with a knife on a Leamington street last night (Monday), before the robber then stole his wallet.

The robber - described as white, about 40 years old, 5 ft 5 ins tall, of broad build and with a chubby face and stubble - confronted the victim between Binswood Avenue and Trinity Street at around 8.30pm.

The victim, who was not injured, told police officers that the offender had a local accent and was wearing a grey hoody with the hood up and a blue and white patterned jacket. He is thought to have been carrying a black handled chef’s knife.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about it or the offender, who may have been hanging around the area for some time before the robbery.
