WEDNESDAY at Aylesford School in Warwick soared into a whole new dimension when popular X-Factor contestant Joe Whelan arrived to sing and offer a guitar masterclass.

Joe may not have got through to the final rounds of the ITV contest but his audition alone shot him into superstar status for pupils like Bethany Mansell, aged 13, and Charlotte Berry, 14.

At the school Joe sang and showcased his new release Wish, which can be downloaded on December 16. He also offered a free guitar masterclass to eight pupils including 12-year-old Antonia Leaver.
