Woman killed in crash near Southam

A WOMAN has died and a man has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the A426 at Stockton near Southam yesterday evening (Monday November 5).

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called the junction of the A426 with Stockton Road at around 7pm, where two vehicles had collided.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Sadly, it quickly became apparent to crews that nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene.

“A man believed to be in his forties and the driver of the second vehicle were treated at the scene for minor injuries and taken to Warwick Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
