Two released in relation to Lillington woman’s death

POLICE have released two men who had been arrested in relation to a Lillington woman’s death.

The two men, aged 62 and 49, were released on bail today (Monday) after being arrested on suspiction of assault last Thursday. The body of a 40-year-old woman had been discovered that day in Briar Close, Lillington.

A post mortem examination carried out on the woman on Friday has shown that she died as a result of a pre-existing condition. The results of toxicology tests are still awaited to establish the full circumstances of her medical condition.

The matter has now been referred to the coroner.
