Tumble dryer fire in Leamington

A TUMBLE dryer caught fire and spread around a flat in Leamington, causing one person to suffer burns and smoke inhalation.

Two fire engines and an ambulance rushed to the scene in Ryland Close at around 7.15pm on Monday.

The flat was reported to be heavily smoke-logged. The person affected was treated at the scene and the fire was put out in around one hour.
