Teenager attacked and robbed in Leamington

A TEENAGER was set upon and had his mobile phone stolen by three youths in Leamington on Monday night.

The incident happened as the 18-year-old walked toward the back of the recreation ground near Shrubland Street at about 8pm.

The three attackers, one wearing a white hoodie and the other two dressed in black, jumped out on him before forcing him to the ground and stamping on his head.

They made off with a pink Blackberry Curve mobile phone and a set of headphones.

The victim made his way home but later received medical treatment for head injuries.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from any witnesses it or anyone with information which may help with the investigation.
