Relaunch: Look out for your exciting new-look paper next week
NEXT week will see the launch of your new-look Courier and Weekly News.
With a fresh, innovative, easy-to-read design and packed full of local news and views, features, sports and entertainment, it will mark a new chapter in the long and illustrious history.
To mark the occasion, next week’s paper will include a fabulous offer of a free brownie for every reader, courtesy of Sweet As and the chance to win vouchers for the Royal Priors shopping centre.
Next Friday will see promotional teams out and about in shops and supermarkets telling people about the new-look paper, plus there will a promotional stall in the Royal Priors Shopping Centre in Leamington, where there will be goody bags and the chance to meet the Courier/KWN editor Chris Lillington from 10.30am to noon.
Also Channel 4’s ‘Willie’ Harcourt-Cooze, chocolate-maker and entrepreneur, will be visiting Waitrose Kenilworth on Friday, from 3pm to 6pm, for a special tasting session. Pick up next week’s Weekly News / Courier for a coupon to claim your free bar of gourmet chocolate worth £2.99.
Mr Lillington said: “I’ll be helping out in the Royal Priors so I hope some of you may be able to stop by, say hello and tell us what you think of the new paper and what you think we can do to make it even better.
“I’m very excited by the changes and hope our readers will be too.
“The Courier and Weekly News are strong community papers and I want them to reflect the community they serves.
“So please do drop by and let me know what you think, or even just come to say hello. I’d all be delighted to meet you.”
The relaunched paper has been produced with the support of a leading international newspaper design team. With an exciting new look, it will feature the best local news, sport and views, a weekly business news section, an improved leisure and entertainments supplement, with the return of our popular reviews section and a full page of puzzles, plus all your existing weekly content.
Mr Lillington added: “This will mark another exciting chapter in the Courier series’ long and distinguished history.
“Wherever and whenever news breaks, we now share that news with our readers in the best format possible – either in print, online or through our social media channels, which are rapidly growing in popularity.
“The fantastic new-look paper is simply the first step towards an even more successful future!”
