Raging bull injures man in Southam

AN angry bull seriously injured a man at a farm near Southam today (Tuesday).

The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance was called to the farm at around 11am after a man in his seventies suffered a blow to the head after the bull had kicked a nearby fence.

The ambulance crew dressed his wound, which was on the his scalp, and treated him for sickness, before flying him to the University Hospital in Coventry for further assessment and treatment.

Paramedic Gavin Alexander, who attended the incident, said: “It is definitely a more unusual reason for us to be called out.

“Given the force of the blow, it is lucky that the casualty was not more seriously injured.”
