Promise of investment as Warwick care home changes oners
STAFF and 28 residents of Park View care home in Warwick are preparing to be transferred to new ownership as part of the county council’s decision to sell off eight of its residential facilities.
Cllr Izzi Seccombe, who is responsible for adult social care in Warwickshire, said: “Following a rigorous tendering process, Runwood Homes was selected as the preferred bidder and will invest £360,000 into each of the homes to improve and modernise them.”
The transfer is expected to formally take place at the end of November.
The Lawns in Whitnash will also be part of the sale.
Runwood Homes was established in Essex more than 20 years ago by chief executive and property developer Gordon Sanders. He runs the company in partnership with managing director Logan N. Logeswaran, who is a qualified mental health nurse.
Mr Sanders said: “The county council homes have an excellent reputation and I am confident that the commitment to high standards will continue after transfer.
“The valuable skill and experience of the existing staff will be retained as they will transfer to Runwood and deliver the same care.”
