New CCTV footage in Leamington assault investigation
Police are looking for this man in connection with an assault that occurred outside Sakaraya takeaway in Clemens Street, Leamington, in the early hours of November 25.
POLICE have released new CCTV images of a man they are looking for in relation to an assault that occurred in Leamington’s Old Town.
A 20-year-old woman was assaulted at Sakaraya takeaway in Clemens Street on Sunday November 25 at around 3am. She suffered injuries to her face and arm.
A taxi, believed to be a dark-coloured Renault Kangoo or similar with writing on the doors, pulled up shortly before that time and waited outside for a passenger to buy food. It was then driven off along High Street and Church Street.
The attacker is described as a white male, about 30 years of age, 5ft 5ins tall, of medium build and wearing a flat cap and black T-shirt with white writing on.
Anyone who thinks they have seen the man or who has information regarding the incident is asked to call police on 684045 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. Officers are particularly keen to hear from the driver of the taxi.
