New bus route to serve Whitnash

WHITNASH Town Council has urged residents to use a new bus route being piloted in the town or risk losing it.

Stagecoach is to launch its 70 bus service visiting the Golf Lane and Mullard Drive areas on November 10 for a three-month trial period. Three buses a day will run to the upper Parade from Monday to Saturday 10.24am to 3.24pm.

It is the first time the streets have been served by buses, which will run to the upper Parade. Whitnash Town Council last week joined Warwickshire county councillor Bernard Kirton in encouraging people to use the service.

Cllr Kirton said: “Stagecoach are very clear it will have to pay its way. If people don’t use the service they will lose it.”

l In the Courier of October 12 we wrongly reported the trial period as six months, not three. This was due to incorrect information from Stagecoach. We apologise for any confusion.
