Myton says don’t be put off by theft

THE director of income generation for the Myton Hospices said how sorry she was to learn of the theft of a collecting tin - believed to have contained more than £700 - from the Naturelle Hair and Beauty salon in Warwick, reported last week.

Ruth Freeman said it was extremely rare for collecting tins to go missing. There are some 1,760 held throughout Coventry and Warwickshire which yield some £50,000 a year towards the £7.2 million Myton needs to raise.

Ruth said: “We hope this won’t put people off having our collection tins in the future as they raise so much for us. We would also encourage all those who know their tin holds a large sum to either bring it in or ask us to collect it.”
