Leamington man charged over violent assault

A LEAMINGTON man is due to appear before magistrates after being charged with a serious assault in which the victim suffered slashes to his face that required stitches.

Jason Proctor, 25, of Pleasant Way, was arrested following the incident in Court Street, Leamington, on Wednesday.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Warwick Hospital and his injuries required seven sutures.

Proctor was released on bail with strict conditions and is due at Leamington magistrates court on March 1.
