So what happens when the rain comes down during Warwick’s biggest Jubilee celebration? Well, you stay calm and carry on, of course!

The Great Warwick Jubilee Lunch in Market Square on Sunday attracted many visitors who brought along a picnic and enjoyed a range of foods, activities and music.

• VILLAGERS in Claverdon have permanent reminders of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee and days of celebrations – a clock, a commemorative plaque and a bench. Thanks to the generosity of more than 25 village organisations and many people, cash was raised to install a specially-made clock on the side of the Dorothea Mitchell Hall. And Martin Dunne, the Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire – the Queen’s representative in the county – called in to mark time. The inscribed bench is outside the church centre and Gill Evans, one of the villagers involved in the celebrations, said: “Hopefully, it will be sat upon for many years to come, bringing back memories of the 60 years of our Queen’s reign.” Picture submitted
