Firefighters were called to a fire in an empty building in Park Street today (Monday June 4).
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a ladder to deal with a blaze above an empty shop in Leamington town centre today (Monday June 4).
Three fire engines were called to the blaze in Park Street, on the first storey of a two-storey building next to the Ruby Chinese restaurant opposite the entrance to the Royal Priors shopping centre car park.
Two crews from Leamington were initially sent to tackle the fire, but later requested assistance, with engines sent from Kenilworth and then Southam.
An ambulance from West Midlands Ambulance Service was at the scene. There was nobody in the building at the time the fire started. A cause has not yet been identified.
