Drivers still not using seatbelts, study finds
Drivers and passengers on the roads are still failing to wear their seatbelts, a recent study shows.
This has prompted Warwickshire Police and the Safer Roads Partnership to take part in a Europe-wide campaign to urge everyone in cars to belt-up.
According to a Government study, those most likely to not use their seatbelts are young men, back seat passengers, lorry drivers and company car drivers.
Research has also shown that if everyone in the UK wore a seatbelt, more than 350 lives and 1,000 serious casualties could be saved a year.
It is the law for drivers and all passengers to wear a seatbelt. To find out more, visit think.direct.gov.uk/seat-belts
