Ding dong merrily on high, the castle choir is singing

TICKETS have gone on sale for Warwick Castle’s annual Carols at Christmas spectacular on December 22, which raises thousands of pounds for local good causes.

Choristers from St Mary’s Church, accompanied by the Royal Spa Brass Band, will be providing some of the entertainment for the evening - although members of the 2,000-strong audience are encouraged to fully participate in the singing.

Popular BBC Coventry and Warwickshire presenter Annie Othen will compere the event which will also feature winners of the young talent competition Jet Factor.

This year competitors aged between seven and 14 are being sought to perform solo or sing in duos and trios, with auditions starting on November 17.

All money raised on the night will go towards charities chosen by members of Warwick Lions, The Rotary Club and Friends of St Mary’s Choir.

Sponsors of the event include fuel supplier Phillips66, marketing agency LMMC, energy suppliers National Grid, based in Warwickshire, and Jaguar Land Rover.

Tickets are selling at a discounted rate until December 15. For more information visit www.warwick-castle.com
