Cannabis ‘factories’ in two homes

POLICE are still trying to trace suspects following raids on cannabis ‘factories’ discovered in homes in Warwick and on the Sydenham estate in Leamington.

An anonymous tip-off from a member of the public led to the raid at a house in Emscote Road, close to the Homebase store, on October 30.

Officers who executed a fast track search warrant found 12 cannabis plants plus a large quantity of hydroponic growing equipment.

The raid followed one the day before in Cobden Avenue, Sydenham, where police discovered 32 plants in an upstairs bedroom, ten downstairs and six mature specimens in a garage.

PC Trent McMurray of Warwick police said: “It appeared most of the plants in Warwick had been removed the night before. Our enquiries are on-going.”
