THE body of a man was found in the River Leam in Leamington on Saturday.

Police were called to the spot between the Adelaide Road Bridge and Princes Drive at 3pm after being alerted by a member of the public.

Officers arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. The body was recovered by search-trained officers.

His identity is believed to be known but police are yet to release it. The death is currently being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious at this stage.
