Attacker in Whitnash assault told woman not to scream

A MAN grabbed a woman as she was walking along a Whitnash street late at night and told her not to scream.

Fortunately two passers-by came to help the woman, who was alone, and the attacker fled.

The attack took place in Dobson Lane off Heathcote Road on Monday July 23 at 10.10pm.

Police say it is not clear whether the attacker was intending to rob the woman or had another motive.

Now they are trying to trace two men who came to the aid of the women and appealing for any information about the incident.

The attacker is described as white, in his early 30s, 5ft 8ins tall, with dark hair and of medium build.

Anyone with information should call Whitnash beat manager Pc Manjit Sidhu on 684248.
