Appeal to raise funds to improve hospital
A LEAMINGTON hospital that has been recognised as a national centre for specialist rehabilitation is appealing for help in raising thousands of pounds to help it make further improvements.
Leamington Rehabilitation Hospital, which opened in 1995, is aiming to raise £235,000 over the next six months towards its development programme.
The hospital is already working with local community groups and businesses on fundraising initiatives, but welcomes approaches from other organisations or individuals who would like to be involved.
Warwickshire Symphony Orchestra, Wright Hassall Solicitors, Coventry and Warwickshire Motor Club, Leamington Spa Photographic Society and the Spa Theatre Company are all supporting the cause.
Glen Burley, chief executive of South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospital, said: “This centre really helps to transform the lives of patients and any support that the hospital can receive will be very much appreciated by both staff and patients.”
Anyone interested in helping with the appeal should call 495321 ext 8049 or email jo.mainwaring@swft.nhs.uk
