Mud - and lots of it - was the order of the day as hundreds took to the woods near Offchurch to take on the Wolf Run challenge on Saturday.
Designed to re-create for participants the feeling of running in natural terrain, the course involves battling man-made obstacles, as well as natural ones - including swamps, lakes, mud pits, fallen trees, hills and dense foliage. People were able to run in teams or as ‘lone wolves’, while many chose to raise funds for charity. Among the many runners was a wedding party of 101 - including, of course the bride and groom! See page 3 in the Leamington and Warwick Courier for the full story. Our thanks to Terry Bright for his photos and to everyone who submitted their own - including the one on the immediate left of Darren Newey and Victoria Wall about to jump in a swamp.
The next Wolf Run takes place in Leicestershire on November 2 and 3. For details and to enter, visit www.thewolfrun.com
