Driver in Leamington collision suspected of drink or drug driving

A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs and assaulting a police officer, following a three-car collision in Leamington.

Officers arrested the 35-year-old male from Leamington after the crash, which occurred in the Dell off Warwick Street on Wednesday (December 4) at around 6.50pm.

No one is believed to have been injured during the incident, which involved a blue Fiat 500, white BMW 120 saloon and a green Land Rover Discovery.

Following the collision, the driver of the Land Rover was arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a breath specimen, being unfit to drive through drink or drugs and assaulting a police officer. He is currently in police custody where he is awaiting questioning by officers.
