Deliveroo launches restaurant meal delivery in Leamington

And the company estimated that in its first year more than 30 jobs will be created for people in the area.

The majority of these will be for Deliveroo riders, who aim to deliver food to the customer’s door within 32 minutes.

More than 20 restaurants have so far signed up to the service including Wagamama, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Meatcure and Basement Browns.

Jeremy Rawlinson, general manager at Deliveroo, said: “We’re extremely excited to be launching in Leamington and we’re looking forward to bringing some of the town’s delicious dishes straight from the hands of local chefs to customers’ doors.

“Leamington is a multicultural and prosperous area with a diverse range of chain and independent restaurants, and we have seen a real appetite for the service.

“We already have a number of great partners across the town and we are excited to expand and widen the variety of restaurants on offer to our customers over the course of the next year.”

Customers can schedule orders via the Deliveroo smartphone app up to one day in advance, or have food delivered at any time between midday and 11pm.
