Budbrooke at the schools’ summer concert

Have your say

What have you done today to make you feel proud? This was the song chosen by Budbrooke Primary School’s choir as part of a summer concert supported by seven Warwick schools in St Mary’s Church on Tuesday.

There was little doubt from the audience that “Quite a lot” was the appropriate answer as 150 children entertained at the annual event organised by the town’s Rotary Club.

Other schools taking part included Aylesford, whose choir opened the evening with a rendition of Stars Coming Out Tonight, followed by Ridgeway premiering their newly-composed school song.

Also contributing to the occasion - which is supported by the County Music Service - were Emscote, Westgate, Newburgh and Warwick Juniors.

The evening ended with James Druce from Warwick School playing a solo on the trombone.

All funds raised go towards supporting young people’s music-making in Warwick.
