Developers have showcased the work they have done so far in converting a historic Leamington building into luxury retirement apartments.

The original Victorian and Regency period architectural qualities of Binswood Hall,in Beauchamp Avenue, have been retained as part of the renovation work, with the first phase of apartments now complete and 13 owners having celebrated their first Christmas at the former Leamington College site.

Audley Binswood started work on the Audley Retirement development last summer and by spring the site will include The Audley Club, which will have a restaurant, a bar and bistro, a library, swimming pool and a health and wellbeing centre which will all be open to the public.

The remaining properties, which include the head master’s office and the art block, are available to view.

Nick Sanderson, chief executive of Audley Retirement, said: “Audley is fortunate to own such a beautiful building which Leamington is rightly proud of and we have been privileged to restore it to its former glory. “Potential purchasers have been as impressed as I have with all the hard work by the team.

“We’ve been especially encouraged by the warm reception from the local community who rightly hold Binswood Hall very dear and are thrilled to have the opportunity to live in a village with such a significant building as its centrepiece.”
