Busy Christmas shoppers at Asda in Sydenham were given a helping hand from Warwickshire soldiers, who were raising funds for military charities.

Army personnel from the 30th at Gamecock Barracks near Nuneaton were offering to pack bags at the supermarket in the days before Christmas in exchange for donations to the Army Benevolent Fund and the Soldiers’ Charity, as well as the charities supported by the Mayor of Leamington - Warwickshire Young Carers and Myton Hospice.

The mayor, Cllr Judith Clarke, was also there to show her support.
