Listed building in south Warwickshire damaged in crash

Thousands of pounds of damage has been caused to a listed building in Stoneleigh after a car crashed into it.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision at Tantara Lodge, which occured on Monday (August 25) at 11.25pm.

Officers believe a silver Vauxhall Astra failed to stop at a give way sign from Stoneleigh Road into Coventry Road in Stareton, before crossing both lanes and colliding with a metal bollard and a wrought iron gate at the lodge. Several thousands pounds worth of damage was caused to the building.

Police have traced the driver, who has been assisting with enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the silver Vauxhall Astra prior to incident is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 380 of 25th August.
