After running the Warwick half-marathon, the Regency ten kilometres and most recently the London Marathon, Simon Perkin seems the picture of fitness.

Few onlookers cheering as he completed the gruelling London race in three hours 31 minutes would have realised that two years ago Simon undergone a second bone marrow transplant.

From all three races the 47-year-old Warwick man has raised £2,155 for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow charity.

Simon is hoping to encourage 16 to 30 year olds to register with the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow organisation by visiting www. anthonynolan.org

He can also be sponsored via UK.virginmoneygiving.com/simonperkinanthonynolantrust
