He’s a nice guy but he’s still going on the Warwick bonfire

Children from Newburgh Primary School proudly showed off their Guy to Warwick mayor Moira-Ann Grainger when she dropped in for a visit on Tuesday.

Cllr Grainger, who also visited Westgate Primary, was accompanied by representatives of Taylor Wimpey who sponsored this year’s Guy-making competition at both schools ahead of the town’s bonfire at Warwick Racecourse on Saturday (Nov 8).

It’s at that point that both hapless figures will come to a bad end when Cllr Grainger is invited by members of Warwick Rotary and Lions to light the fire at 6.30pm. Tickets on the gate.
