For the second year running, British Cycling and Warwickshire County Council are working together to organise the programme of Sky Ride Local events in Warwick, Leamington and Stratford between now and September.

The rides are led by British Cycling qualified ride leaders and are suitable for different abilities, with events including traffic-free rides, rides for families with young children and beginners, women-only rides and more challenging rides for the more experienced cyclists.

There are also ‘Ride Social’ rides, which are organised by anyone who wants to join Sky Ride’s social network and organise their own outing. These events are suitable for those who are looking to meet like-minded cyclists and create their own routes.

The next guided ride is a five-mile ride (one hour) along Stratford Greenway, starting at the car park off the A4390 south of Stratford on Sunday (May 25) at 2pm.

Next Sunday (June 1), there is a five-mile ride (45 minutes) from Victoria Park in Leamington to St Nicholas Park in Warwick, starting from Victoria Park car park off Prince’s Drive at 10am.

Then on Sunday June 8, there is a two-mile ride (30 minutes) in Stratford, starting from the bandstand recreation ground in Stratford, at 10am.
