‘Despicable Me’ team race to Leamington

Four workers from a care home in Kineton found themselves in a Heart FM race to Leamington after being dropped at a mystery location 100 miles away.

The intrepid team from the River Meadows home, all dressed as characters from Despicable Me before making the charity dash.

They ended up taking trains, taxis and flagging down passing cars to raise £1,400 for the new charity Make Some Noise which helps disadvantaged children across the UK.

Their bosses at PrimeLife, the company which owns River Meadows, contributed £250 to help them on their way.
