The gates on the Lapworth flight of locks are now part of a new contemplation garden on the Saltisford arm of the canal created by dozens of volunteers overseen by Alan Lorentzen.

Mr Hales said the gadden would allow visitors to appreciate the raw simple engineering beauty of the long oak timbers, hand-crafted in the West Midlands, as close quarters.
