Churches unite for Christmas Child operation

MEMBERS of churches throughout Warwick gathered together last Sunday (Nov 18) to mark the end of yet another successful ‘shoebox’ Christmas child gift operation.

The Rev Jonathan Hearn, team vicar of St Paul’s church, said: “Altogether people had covered 662 shoeboxes with Christmas wrapping paper and had fun filling them with gifts for boys and girls of differing age groups.

“Along with boxes from other parts of the region, these have now been sent off to varous places around the world and will be given out to children who have nothing.

“As well as church members, so many others have taken part in the annual Samaritan Purse operation including schools, uniformed organisations, WI groups and others.”
