Colleagues and children from the nursery in Upper Grove Street got to dress up in scrubs and were given a tour of Rainsbrook Vets, where they saw first-hand where animals are treated and learnt how to put bandages on.

They were also invited to take a look at the swimming pool used at the practice to support dogs as they recuperate after major surgery.

Leanne Bowen, nursery manager at the Co-operative Childcare Grove nursery in Leamington, said: “The children are really fascinated by animals so visiting the veterinary practice across the road was a valuable exercise to teach them how pets are cared for and bring their interest to life.”

She said everyone enjoyed the visit. The nursery, in Grove Street, will hold an open day for new prospective parents and children on July 14, from 3pm to 7pm.
