Charity shop disputes council’s order
Warwick District Council ordered the charity shop in Victoria Terrace to take down a green logo displayed in the front window because it had been put up without listed building consent.
A statement from the council said that the shop, a grade II listed building, is “prominently located within the Leamington Spa conservation area in close proximity to other listed buildings, including the majority of the terrace in which it is located”.

A spokeswoman for Barnardo’s said: “We have appealed against the council’s enforcement notice and await the planning inspectorate’s ruling. In the meantime we have removed the sign.”
