One of the first clinics in the UK to be awarded the Save Face accreditation is Beautifil Aesthetics in Kenilworth.
The accreditation marks the dawn of a new era for regulations within medical cosmetics treatment. It is paving the way for tighter regulations and better quality of care for consumers.
Maria Phillips, clinical director at the clinic, said:“From the minute I opened the doors to my clinic I wanted patient safety and quality of care to be a priority.
“My medical background as a nurse and medical prescriber combined with many years of training and experience in aesthetic treatments can now be officially acknowledged through the Save Face accreditation. It scares me to think that there are people out there administering aesthetics procedure after just a few days training.”
Marie Dolan, clinical director at Save Face, said: “We think anyone considering having a non-surgical treatment should be fully informed so that they are empowered to make the right decisions. Save Face provides a safe, impartial and accessible service to ensure that when you choose to have a treatment, selecting a practitioner is safe and easy.”
