Hair extensions firm gears up for growth

Southam-based Racoon International is gearing up for growth with a key board appointment

Sue Davenport is joining the company as chair of the board.

Racoon International is the number-one supplier of high-quality, glamorous human hair extensions to salons, session stylists and global partners.

It has secured significant investment from Mobeus Equity Partners and Sue Davenport. Ms Davenport will gear the business up to take advantage of current market opportunities.

Founded in 1995 in Southam, Racoon International can boast more than 5,000 salons across the UK, with hundreds more internationally that have been certificated to offer Racoon’s products.

Managing director Claire Bartley said: “These are exciting times for Racoon International. We have established the business as one of the major developers and suppliers of human hair extensions in a market that continues to be challenging, and we have a strong and dedicated team.

“However, we recognise that, as we enter our second decade, if we are to progress the evolution of the business we need to strengthen the management team and secure extra resources.

“Sue Davenport brings a wealth of experience and success, and we are delighted that she sees the potential for Racoon International.”

Ms Davenport said: “I have been impressed by the passion and dedication of the Racoon team. The market for human hair extensions is growing and the business is perfectly placed to take advantage of the opportunities for further growth.”
