Two men suffered serious injuries after a people carrier crashed through a wall following a collision near Balsall Common.
The Nissan Serena people carrier was in collision with a Mercedes E280 car on the the A452 Kenilworth Road dual carriageway, before swerving through a brick wall and into trees at about 1.05am.

It was found further up the road, facing the wrong way and with significant damage to the passenger side.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said crews had found two men lying some distance from the vehicle, although it was unclear how they got there.

One, aged 28, had multiple injuries to his left shoulder, leg and foot. The other, aged 17, had a possible broken jaw and ambulance staff were concerned that he had suffered internal injuries.

Both were taken to the Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham, where the older man underwent surgery.

The accident happened between the Stonebridge and Meriden roundabouts. Police closed the road at Patrick's island while emergency services worked at the scene.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information should call West Midlands Police road policing unit at Solihull on 0845 113 5000.
