Cycling is a great way to keep fit and - if the Olympics are anything to go by - you could set your sights on a gold medal or two.
Four friends from Warwick School set out last week on a 275-mile cycle trek to raise funds for a school trip to Kyrgyzstan.

Sixth formers Alex Hewitt, Charlie James, Lawrence Bywater and Michael Wilkes left Warwick Castle on Tuesday and were hoping to arrive at Tintagel Castle in Cornwall four days later.

It is hoped the sponsored ride will pay for their part in a world challenge expedition to the former Soviet state next July, when they will be working with children at an orphanage, trekking in remote Kyryz mountains and visiting the second largest alpine lake in the world, Lake Issy-Kul.

The trip will cost each boy £3,000 and they are hoping to collect £1,000 from friends and family towards the cost.
