Britain's Olympic rowers may be competing in Beijing, but the next generation of Redgraves and Pinsents will be taking part in Warwick Regatta tomorrow (Saturday).
Crews from all over the country will be racing along the 500m course along the river Avon between Warwick Castle and St Nicholas Park.
Spectators will be able to watch the action from St Nicholas Park and Myton Fields, with teams of all ages and abilities pulling on the oars and some special events for novice crews.
Spokesman Lucy Rose explained the short course meant the event appealed to young teams, some of whom might go on to bigger and better things.
She said: "They tend to be new to the sport and not yet Olympic standard!
"There will probably be some teams who have rowed at Henley Regatta but the majority tend to be juniors and novices."
There will be a full day of races starting at 9am and running until 5pm, with a barbecue and refreshment tent for visitors.
