So happy: successful students Gurpreet, Archik and Helen

Three Myton School students are celebrating receiving some of the highest GCSE marks in the country.
Lower sixth formers Archik Das, Helen Belcher and Gurpreet Virk each received among the ten highest grades in the country in one of the subjects they studied.
Archik, 17, received one of the best maths marks in the country, but the Westwood Heath teenager hopes to go on to study medicine.
He said: “It is a huge pleasure to find out the result. It was one of the greatest joys I have ever experienced in my life.
“I worked very hard through the course and took the guidance from school teachers. It is the ideal result.”
Helen, 16, received one of the highest marks in business studies, for which she credited her teacher Miss Merrett and keeping up to date with her coursework and classwork.
The Warwick teenager, who hopes to study French and German at university and become a translator or go into international business said: “I couldn’t believe it.
“I didn’t think I could do that.”
Gurpreet, 16, received one of the top ten marks in the country in business and communications systems, the study of how ideas like email develop and are used.
The south Leamington teenager, who wants to go into business management, said: “I was really happy.
“I just worked really hard. I just want to do my A levels and go to university.”
