Kenilworth Dog's Trust will get a donation from a volunteer who is going above and beyond the call of duty.
Pet sitter Chloe Hart, who walks dogs for the trust in Honiley, is to skydive from more than 10,000 feet to raise funds for the charity.

The 25-year-old from Warwick will perform the daring tandem jump in Peterborough on September 6.

She said: "It's one of the things I want to do in my life. I thought if I don't do it now I might not get the chance when I'm older."

Miss Hart got the idea to do the jump from a skydiving enthusiast friend who will be filming the experience for her.

She explained she has no problems with flying but the scale of the jump and free fall might cause her to feel nervous.

She said: "This is the first one I've done - I won't be scared of the height I just hope the adrenalin gets me through.

"The bit I'm most scared of is when the parachute opens and you are shot back up in the air. That is why I couldn't do it alone."

Miss Hart has already raised £300 for the trust and is aiming to make between £500 and £1,000 from the dive.

The volunteer, who has covered the cost of the skydive herself, said she wanted to "give something" back to the trust which introduced her to caring for dogs.

Kenilworth Dog's Trust supporter relations officer Jane Hirons said: "We would like to say a huge thank you to Chloe for taking on this amazing fundraising on behalf of Dogs Trust.

"We are full of admiration for her energetic efforts and wish her all the very best of luck."
