The Prime Minister is helping a Leamington sixth-former raise money towards a trip to Fiji to help children living in poverty.
Ryan Collier hopes to raise £2,500 to spend several months teaching and helping with lessons at a school in Suva.
The 18-year-old decided to organise an auction dinner for the cause and is now able to offer people who attend the chance to go home with a bottle of wine signed by Gordon Brown, as well as a bottle of whisky signed by House of Commons Speaker Michael Martin.
Ryan, of Kennan Avenue, said: "I'm really pleased to be supported by people who are so high up and influential.
"It will be quite a big adventure for me."
The Myton School pupil, who is taking A-levels in sociology, psychology and philosophy and ethics, hopes to go on his travels in April or May next year.
He said: "I wanted to go on a gap year and thought about going to Australia or Africa, but these are places where a lot of people go.
"I wanted to go somewhere different – somewhere that I don't know much about – where I can do something positive and make a difference."
Ryan, who is also a keen trampolinist and artist, will gain a teaching qualification at the end of his stay and plans to train as a primary school teacher when he returns.
He received the signed bottles, along with several items donated by businesses in the Leamington area, with the help of Warwick and Leamington MP James Plaskitt.
Mr Plaskitt said: "I was impressed by Ryan's determination and commitment.
"He came up with this great fundraising idea, so when he asked me to do the auction, I happily agreed.
"Ryan represents all that's good about young people with plans to make the world a better place."
The auction dinner will take place at the Lord Leycester Hotel in High Street, Warwick, on May 1 at 7.30pm. Places cost £17, of which £2 will go towards Ryan's trip.
Anyone interested in attending or any businesses wishing to donate items should contact Ryan on 730861 or Mr Plaskitt on 831151.
