Giants! What a difference summer holidays make

Healthy, blooming and growing all the time - and that's just the sunflowers.
These beaming youngsters from Westgate Primary School came back to school last week to find the seeds they tended in the summer term had thrived and were now sunflowers towering above their heads.

Headteacher Lynne Andrew said: "Although no one cared for the flowers over the summer holiday, the rain must have kept them going and they are magnificent."
