Marathon talk at Leamington art gallery

MARATHON runner Bill Adcocks will give a free lunchtime talk at Leamington Art Gallery and Museum today (Friday).
Bill will present A Life on the Run - the story of his career in marathon running in which he held the record for the Classic Marathon to Athens for 35 years.
Vicki Slade, the gallery’s senior curatorial officer, said: ‘Bill’s talk is part of our programme of events for the Going for Gold! Celebrating Local Sporting Life exhibition, which runs until October 7.
“He has played such an important role in our national and local sporting history and we are delighted about Bill’s contribution.
“His talk will be a fascinating finale to our summer programme of talks.”
The talk starts at 1pm.
