A PARODY rock group who have sold more than 11 million records are bringing their blend of humour and musicianship to Leamington this week.

The Barron Knights, who have been performing comedy tributes to 60s and 70s bands for more than 50 years, are coming to the Spa Centre on Thursday night at 7.30pm.

It was the boys from Leighton Buzzard who inspired Rolling Stones guitarist Bill Wyman to buy a guitar in 1961 - and since then, they have amassed 14 comedy hit records and more than 300 shows at the London Palladium, as well as 30 world tours.

Their catalogue of hits includes their memorable version of the William Tell Overture, Flamenco party piece Malaguana and Will Camilla Be Queen? - a parody of Queen’s Killer Queen.

The Knights are the only group to have toured with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, while the band have also performed four times for the Royal family and played shows all over the world.

Pete Langford, Len Crawley, Mick Groom and Lloyd Courtenay will be doling out their collection of hits from the 1960s and 70s and up to the modern day. For tickets, which cost £18.80, call 0845 218 3540 or go online.
