TWO talented artists from close to home and a duo of touring Australians will perform in an acoustic concert at Venew in Leamington tonight (Wednesday).

Guitarist, Poet and songwriter Kristy Gallacher from Coventry will be the headline act.

Kristy formed her own Broken Player Records label in 2008 when she was just 21 and has been self-sufficient ever since.

A prolific songwriter, Kristy regularly tours on the acoustic circuit around the UK and has supported the likes of Ed Sheeran and Nerina Pallot.

In 2010, she won the LG Arena’s Singer/Songwriter competition and played before Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood and John Mayer.

Minky G and Rosco will play as part of their first UK tour.

Issy Ferris from Leamington is only 15 but is already making her mark in the music industry.

She reached the live final of the Open Mic UK competition where she performed at the O2 arena in London this year and was also selected to appear as a mentor in Born to Shine, a TV show in which talented youngsters passed on their skills to celebrities.

Under Issy’s tutelage, former Eastenders star Tracy-Ann Oberman reached the final.

The gig takes place at the venue in Rugby Road and tickets cost £5 in advance or £6 on the night.
